Installation in Prepar3d v3
I have sent Carenado 20 some emails for help. They say it will install in V3, but I am unable to get it to do so. Anyone else had any luck.
these instructions from them are not valid .... no PI1300.exe file in download and this appears to be for FSX
HELP!
Steps for installing Carenado PA46T Malibu JetProp HD Series FSX/P3D:
1.- Unzip the downloaded file and put the "PI1300X.exe" file in the desktop.
2.- Double click on that file (it is an auto installer).
3.- When prompted for the Username and Serial, type the information provided by email or in the last screen of the purchase process.
4.- The installation should take less than a minute.
Important: First time you use the aircraft in FSX you may be prompted to “Run” or “Don't Run” by the Microsoft Security Alert System, just ignore it and click “Run” to install the gauges. Then click on “Yes” in the next dialog window. Repeat this sequence every time that windows appear (this will depend on how many gauges has the aircraft)
All the documents are inside a folder called “Carenado” which is in the FSX root folder.

Comm radios off by 0.01
Just re-installed the C337H with the latest installer from fspilotshop and am having an issue with the comm radios.
The frequencies are always 0.01 Mhz off. For example, if I try to tune 122.00 (ASN ATIS), what I get on the radios is 122.01.
All frequencies I try to tune appear to be off by the same 0.01Mhz.
Is this my install or a more common problem?

Carenado Lighting
I have some of my carenado with A2A shock wave lights. They are brighter and look nice. I know Carenado lights are built into the programing and when you add shock wave lights you have try and place them in the right location. My question, is there any way to increase the brightness of the stock light instead of using add on lights programs?

New Install Problems
Hello,
I have just installed the Carenado F33 Bonanza and am having a few minor problems right away.Any advice received would be very much appreciated.
My initial problems are:
No Beacon displayed on tail when it is switched on.
No luggage shown when selected, but chocks etc do show.
Can't shut up the ident morse code, even when radios are switched off
Any suggestions please?

Ident morse code won't switch off
Hello,
Getting to grips with the F33 as a new user but have a persistent problem.
I can't stop the ident morse code audio playing, by changing frequencies or even when the Com radios are switched off. The only thing that stops it is turning off the master avionics switch.
It must be something I'm doing wrong, since no one else is complaining about this in the forum and for sure everyone is not flying around with that going on in the background.
Please could someone make a suggestion as to how I should turn this off.

Toggle GPS Window Problem
When you toggle the GPS window the mouse wheel will only change the megahertz frequencies on the large knob, the small knob for the kilohertz frequencies does not respond to the mouse. You have to use the GPS mounted in the panel and you can then use the mouse wheel to change frequencies. Why is that?
Also what are the two Collins Comm radios used for that are located below the panel mounted GPS?
I only wish there was a proper manual from Carenado.

Carenados and FSX-SE
Hiya,
I've just got FSX-SE up and running on a decent PC, have ORBX and is all looking great but fancy some better planes than the default.
I've used Carenado planes a while ago in FS9 and thought they were v good but looking at the Carenado site, only a few of them are listed as working with SE.
I would be after the Baron or B200 to replace the defaults, but neither of these are listed in the SE section.
What is the issue with these, does it not know where to install them? is there any way of getting them to work?

Hide Carenado Mooney Compass?
Hi All,
Does anyone know if there's a way to hide the magnetic compass in the Carenado M20J Mooney?
It's right down on the dash and always seems to be in the way on approach when landing.
Is there anything I can do in the Panel cfg file to hide or remove it?

C182Q Takeoff Speed
The Carenado C192Q with Bernt Stolle's mod is one of my favorites.
However I do find one thing annoying. The Cessna 182Q POH lists "Rate of Climb at Seal Level" as 1010 FPM.
Yet, with full power on take off the 182Q rockets past this like a cat with its tail on fire.
If reading this, can a real-world 182Q driver confirm the accuracy? On the other hand, if it is totally outside of specs is there a way the aircraft.cfg or airfile can be modified to bring the aircraft closer to specs?
It does make for a exciting take off for the passengers though. :-)

Hi...with trim full up, 100 kts. full flaps and yoke centered..im descending at -2000 fpm...with that config i should be going up like a rocket...i have to pull back hard on the yoke to stay level...any ideas?

Cessena Caravan C208B EX PFD Issue
Hi everyone.
My issue is when I start up the C208B EX about a few minutes after I start it up and everything is running fine the PFD AND MFD screens turn off the just go blank as if they have been switched off. Nothing has changed and if I revert it back to cold and dark set up and then start it they turn off then a few minutes later shutoff?
Does anyone know what's going on? I have tied the avionics switches on and off and nothing
